Christmas in the Mountains

Last weekend we made our first ever Christmas trip to the mountains.  We had a great time.  Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg know how to do Christmas right!  On Friday night we were able to take the  trolley around Pigeon Forge and look at all of the lights.  Sophia liked riding the trolley more than the actual lights.  That girl loves riding a bus of any kind!!  Saturday was kinda rainy so we did a little shopping and had a little relaxation in the room.  By Saturday night the rain had stopped but it was FREEZING.  We decided to bundle up and head to DollyWood for the lights and sights!  It was amazing.  More lights than you can ever imagine.  We took the train ride up the mountain and rode rides under the Christmas lights.  So much fun!!!  Sunday we woke up to falling snow!  The snow was beautiful and lasted for several hours. We toured Gatlinburg in the snow and then headed home.  It was a great time!  Perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit!!!

Even the benches outside of the hotel are Christmas oriented!!  Sophia wanted to take this bench home with us!
Sophia sitting on Santa's lap letting him know exactly what she would like for Christmas this year.
Bundled up for fun times at DollyWood!!
You know its cold when Daddy has a hat and jacket on!!

Sophia couldn't squeeze her head in the hole for the picture!!  She couldn't understand what she was suppose to do with her head!!
Talking with Santa at DollyWood!!  She said she forgot to tell Santa something that she wanted for Christmas.
One of her Christmas wishes...a Doll House!
Catching snow flakes on her tounge in Gatlinburg!!
We had a great time and hope to make this trip a yearly Christmas tradition!!  Next year sweet baby Sloan will have to join us!

My favorite pic is the one catching the snowflakes on her tongue. A nice tradition for the holidays to go to the mts.
