Zoo Time!!

Earlier in the Summer we visited HollyWild Animal Park. Its more like a petting zoo type of place so perfect for toddlers. We went to help celebrate Ethan's (one of my best friend Leslie's sweet boy) Birthday. Sophia and Bailey...Leslie's youngest child (below) were so sweet together. I can't wait until they get a little bit older to really play together. If they are anything like their mama's then its going to be trouble. We don't get to see each other near enough but anytime we get together its like time has never passed!




We started with the animal statues to see how Sophia would take to the animals. She has only been around the puppies in the neighborhood so theses strange animals were all new to her. She loved all of the animals....wanted to pet and feed them all. Of course she barked at ALL of the animals. Early in the summer all animals barked...cats, fish, ducks, hippo, zebras....you name it...it barked. Now...several months later we have progressed to recognizing and making the correct noise with the animal.

At Holly Wild you ride a bus with the windows out to see the BIG animals. Very Big "Texas Longhorns,", Buffalo, Deer with big antlers, all will come RIGHT up to the bus and they give you bread to feed them. Again...my sweet baby wasn't scared a bit. Mom on the other hand didn't like the whole idea too much.
